Nature trails around the park
take you through woodland and countryside housing wildlife
and views unrivalled in Wales.
The mansion (although rebuilt in
1830) around which the park is located is steeped in history
dating back to the days of Oliver Cromwell.
An interesting Arboretum housing
many unusual and interesting trees including Giant Redwood,
Monterey Pine and Fern-Leaved Beech provides the visitor
with a walk in clean fresh country air.
The park also houses a 20 acre
deer park with around 20 fallow deer currently residing. The
country walks around the park guide you around the 20 acre
enclosure where visitors can see the deer in almost natural
surroundings.
Car parking in the park is
adequate costing
£1.50 per vehicle (car).
Adjacent to the car park is a visitor centre with cafe and
restaurant. On our visit, we purchased two sandwiches and
two cups of tea
at a cost of £9.25.
Nominal Car
Parking charges apply.
Guide books can be purchased from the Cafe
