Ammanford Town is situated in the Swansea Valley some 12 miles North East of Swansea. Once famous for it's industrious mining links the town now boasts a rural community with mining scaled down to contributing only a small part to the employment of the area. Ammanford lays host to some 35,000 people living in outlying towns and villages throughout the valley.
