is situated in the Swansea Valley some 12 miles North East of
Swansea. Once famous for it's industrious mining links the town
now boasts a rural community with mining scaled down to
contributing only a small part to the employment of the area.
Ammanford lays host to some 35,000 people living in outlying
towns and villages throughout the valley.
Saron, Betws, Garnant, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, Llandybie and Brynamman
